Wild Snow Dog Cherry Gin wins bronze medal at the London Spirits Competition
The Wild Snow Dog Cherry Gin, produced by liquor and spirits company ZIMBRO and featuring the well known Cherry of Fundão, has just been awarded a bronze medal at the London Spirits Competition, whose results were announced on April 30 .
The competition, which has registered more than 2000 entries from around the world, distinguishes high-quality spirits, while offering the customer and the consumer an excellent value for money and an appealing image and packaging that stand out from the rest. Theefore, the evaluation is a combination of three distinct factors, which highlights even more the importance of this international award.
A distinction that fills ZIMBRO with pride, mainly because at the creation of this premium gin was the desire to honor our region-cradle, joining the two mountains that surround us for the best they offer: the wild juniper of Serra da Estrela and the cherry of Fundão, coming from the slopes of the Serra da Gardunha.
Fruity and distinct, besides the cherry as the main reference on the palate, its flavour is rounded by the malápio da serra (variety of apple), by the tangerine that grows in the orchards of Cova da Beira and by the medronho of the mythical shale villages. Also selected botanicals are lemon peel, angelica root, coriander seeds and licorice.
With this award, ZIMBRO sees the quality of the Wild Snow Dog Cherry Gin as a reflection of the commitment that it places on its artisan production and the choice of the best endogenous ingredients, giving an important step in the path it has set out as its mission: to offer the market products that represent, in essence, the “mountain spirit”, promoting Beira Baixa and boosting the local economy.
